A Hawai‘i girl with a special talent for discovering hidden local gems. Based on O‘ahu, but always dreaming about what’s next—watching the ocean roll by from a cruise balcony, getting happily lost in Japan, or heading back (again and again) to my favorite place of all: Italy.

As a Hawai‘i-based travel advisor and lifelong local, I love helping people experience places in ways that feel genuinely memorable—the kind of travel that lets you really experience a place, not just see it. I’m drawn to thoughtful, boutique-luxury stays paired with local charm that most visitors miss.
Whether you’re dreaming of a beach escape (I know all the best ones!) here in Hawai‘i or planning a trip farther from home, I work closely with you to shape something that truly fits you, at a pace that leaves room to wander and enjoy the little discoveries along the way. Janelle was wonderful to work with! She was warm and personable and really understands the ins and outs of travel. She matched us to the perfect hotel, even creating a custom itinerary for our week long stay in Tokyo. Our group appreciated how reliable and attentive she was. Her personal knowledge of the area was great too-it was a like having a local friend showing us around. We had such a great experience that we've already booked with her for our upcoming vacation to Europe.

Janelle found us the exact type of accommodation that we were looking for (with a large private onsen) and it came in under budget. We were very happy with her insight on booking us somewhere clean and modern but also spacious (rare for Japan standards) and in a good location that made it easy to access the local sights nearby. We added on the service of a customized 2 day itinerary for the area and couldn't be happier with the local spots that she included.
