My Story
Travel sparks excitement and awe for me, and I’m endlessly curious about the world and the people in it. I love the idea of helping others see the world differently—through culture, landscapes, history, and the moments that stay with you long after you return home. Life is my bucket list—and I love helping others explore theirs.
Travel Style
I travel to connect—with people, culture, and places. I’m drawn to experiences that feel immersive and meaningful, whether that’s walking through historic cities, discovering local food and wine, or experiencing landscapes that inspire a sense of awe.
I love a great hotel—beautiful design, comfortable beds, warm hospitality, and impeccable food and beverage. Thoughtful planning matters, and I believe a well-organized itinerary allows travelers to relax, explore, and truly enjoy the experience.
I’m equally happy savoring a memorable meal, setting out on an adventure, or slowing down to take in the rhythm of a destination. Wherever I go, I aim for travel that feels intentional, enriching, and effortless.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about working with Cherie to plan our late February Northern Lights adventure to Yellowknife. From start to finish, she created a truly seamless and unforgettable experience.
Cherie handled every detail with incredible care and expertise booking our aurora tour, arranging an amazing snowmobile excursion, coordinating winter gear rentals, and thoroughly preparing us for the extreme cold. Her packing guidance and photography tips for capturing the Northern Lights made us feel completely confident and prepared before we even arrived.
We did one night aurora tour and were lucky enough to see the lights an absolutely magical, once in a lifetime moment that we will never forget. Every part of the trip ran smoothly, and we felt supported and well taken care of the entire time.
If you are dreaming of seeing the Northern Lights in Canada, Cherie is the person you want planning your trip. Her knowledge, organization, and genuine care for her clients made this a stress free, bucket list experience that exceeded all of our expectations. We are so grateful!

Cherie placed me at a hotel that was tailored to all my needs. Safe, clean, great location, and lots of activities. She is attentive to my "non-negotiables."

Cherie nailed it!! I visit Los Angeles often, and I would normally stay at a hotel west of downtown. Cherie inquired about the purpose of my trip. I replied that I wanted this trip to be spontaneous, no planning. Wake up each day and do whatever popped into my mind. Cherie suggested I stay at the downtown JW Marriott for its location and diverse culture. She took the time to research the immediate area and provided me with a list of activities, events, and historical sites. She was very meticulous in coordination; ensuring my vacation went as smoothly as possible.

Cherie Nelson Jones went far above the expectations for getting a difficult reservation. My review is an emphatic 5 stars! On other websites, the hotel allowed for 4 guests to stay in a very large executive suite. Yet, for some reason, the website we wanted her to use (aavacations.com) would only allow for reservations of 2 people in the room. She called the hotel in Turkey to make sure that we would have no troubles checking in. I was expecting to have to do “negotiations” at the check in but instead found a gracious staff who had been prepared by Cherie. Wow! Cherie arranged for wine, chocolate, and a note from her to greet us in the room. Our family was in awe at such personalized service. We will definitely use Cherie to reserve our future travel.

Québec City & Montreal: Old-World Charm & Urban Energy
Québec City and Montreal offer something rare: two completely distinct personalities within a few hours of each other. Québec City pulls you into cobblestone streets and centuries-old architecture that feel more European than North American. Montreal answers with a cosmopolitan energy, world-class food, and a bilingual creative culture all its own. Together, they make one of the most satisfying pairings in travel. This itinerary is personal to me, and I'd send my closest friends here without hesitation.
