I have been traveling for many years, initially staying in hostels and only eating grocery store baguettes, to now using more of a mid-range approach. I tend to stay in centrally located quaint hotels, but book excursions or rent a car to get off of the beaten path a little bit. I love having an organized and executable plan, but still prefer to keep a couple of days open for any spontaneous adventures (or even just a relax day!). I love adventure, so if there's a hike or water activity, you can bet I'm signing up! I also try to get the best bang for my buck, so if there's a coupon out there, I will find it and use it!
