Luxury Stay at an All-Inclusive Resort in Panama City
Curator’s statement

In June of 2023, I conducted a site inspection while staying at the all-inclusive Dreams Playa Bonita Resort on the outskirts of Panama City. The resort has 8 different restaurants to choose from and a different theme taking place each night in the lobby like karaoke, salsa lessons and more. I had a very personalized, nature encompassing experience throughout my stay and would highly recommend it to my clients, friends and family.

This particular Hyatt Inclusive property is very family oriented as the only area exclusive only to adults is one of the quieter pools, reserved for preferred members. There were guests of all ages and backgrounds in attendance upon arrival. Once you go through the main entrance, there are two towers, on the right and left sides, each with its own unique views and offerings. I traveled there on a girl's trip for my birthday, so my guests and I each got our own king-sized room with breathtaking ocean views. For those who are early risers, we spotted a sloth nesting in the forest trees right outside of our room, which the hotel staff was more than happy to point out. Rest and relaxation are also guaranteed at the on-site spa that offers facials, individual and couples massages, salon services and further treatments.

The resort itself is off the beaten path, but there are local buses directly outside of the front gates that take you into the city, which is roughly 15 to 20 minutes away depending on traffic. Uber is also an option, which I would recommend calling in advance and before 10:00 pm on busy nights, as it can take a while to arrive depending on availability. Every night the resort has a different theme in the lobby where guests are encouraged to come and sing karaoke, dance salsa with a professional instructor, do the cha cha slide, play billiards in the music lounge and more. There are three large pools adorning the beach in the back of the property, with a volleyball court, mini golf station, a picturesque swing set, watersport adventures and so forth. The front desk also offers tours, excursions and family fun packages in addition to other activities that vary from fitness to entertainment.

Saving the best for last, for all of my fellow foodies and beverage enthusiasts. Please don't let me forget to mention the 13 dining/drink options that are offered day and night. The cuisine inside of the eight restaurants ranges from French to Italian to seafood and includes 24 hour room service. Enjoying a pina colada at the swim up bar (my personal favorite out of the five total) is a must, as the bartenders are very warm and accommodating and definitely not known to be shy when it comes to their pours. Two things to note, the menus do not change, so be prepared to try each restaurant that way your taste buds can get accustomed to different flavors. Also be sure to check the dress code for each place. For the most part they are casual, but a few prefer that guests dress in accordance with the elegant, romantic settings. Reservations are not needed and guests are seated on a first come first serve basis. As a kind reminder, everything is already included, food and drink wise, so feel free to show your service providers how much they are appreciated! More importantly enjoy your time at this beautiful all-inclusive beachside resort, where a dull moment is nonexistent.
