Things to do in Mallorca
Explore Palma. Check out the gothic Catedral de Mallorca, make the trek up to Bellver Castle, explore Old Town and just enjoy some people-watching.
Bike along the Portixol. This long seafront stretch is a fun thing to do for an afternoon with energetic kids.
Stock up on leather Mallorcan sandals, you will kick yourself if you don't!
Visit Drach's cave. This was one of my kid's favorite experiences. The cave itself is stunning, but the concert and boat ride on the underground lake were unforgettable.
Mallorca has a long tradition of producing ceramics, the towns of Portol and Marratxi are worth visiting for this reason. You will definitely want to bring something back for a souvenir.
Visit Joan Miro Foundation. Not just a museum experience, but a visit to his studio was especially interesting. Kids love his colorful painting style.
Hire a boat. Mallorca is an island after all and so many special coves and beaches are only reachable by boat.
Beach hopping. Playa de Euro and Cala Lombards were our favorites.
Day Trips
Soller is a great day trip from Palma. Just board the vintage train and take a short ride to this most charming town. Have lunch in the center of town or take the tram to the Port for a beach day.
Places to eat & drink in Mallorca
Ca'n Boqueta: Best place to have lunch on your day trip to Soller.
Ca's Patro March: Possibly the most scenic restaurant in Mallorca. Perched on a cliff overlooking rocky Cala Deia serving freshly caught seafood. You've seen this one on Insta!
Ca'n Joan de s'Aigo: Take the kids to this charming 300-year-old cafe for pastries and ice cream.
Patiki Beach: Cute, fun, authentic beach spot in Port de Soller.
Es Taller Valldemossa: In the fairytale hillside town of Valldemossa, this spot serves delicious Argentinian-inspired dishes.
The Boathouse: Lively spot for outdoor dining and has a great brunch.
