The Great Barrier Reef is one of the most iconic natural wonders in the world and Queensland is home to some of its most beautiful sites. Take a full-day boat tour to explore the vibrant coral reefs and swim with colorful fish and sea turtles. Some of the best places to visit include the Outer Barrier Reef, Agincourt Reef and Lady Elliot Island. Don't forget to bring your snorkeling or diving gear!

A note from Lizz

Insider Tip: Book a semi-submersible tour to see the reef up close without getting wet.

Day 2: Visit the Rainforest and Waterfalls

Queensland is home to some of the world's oldest rainforests and most beautiful waterfalls. Take a day trip to the Daintree Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to explore its lush vegetation and see exotic wildlife like the cassowary bird. Then head to Mossman Gorge to swim in crystal-clear pools and hike through scenic trails. End the day by visiting the breathtaking Millaa Millaa Falls, a popular spot for photos.

Insider Tip: Wear comfortable shoes and bring insect repellent for the rainforest.

Day 3: Relax on the Beach

Queensland is known for its stunning beaches and warm weather, so take a day to relax and soak up the sun. Visit some of the most popular beaches like Surfers Paradise, Noosa Beach and Whitehaven Beach. Rent a beach chair and umbrella, enjoy a picnic or try some water sports like paddle-boarding, kayaking or surfing.

A note from Lizz

Insider Tip: Get to the beach early to avoid crowds and secure the best spot.

Day 4: Discover the Wildlife

Queensland is home to a variety of unique wildlife, including kangaroos, koalas and crocodiles. Take a visit to the Australia Zoo, founded by the late Steve Irwin, and see these animals up close. Alternatively, head to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane to cuddle a koala or visit Hartley's Crocodile Adventures near Cairns for a thrilling experience.

A note from Lizz

Insider Tip: Visit the Australia Zoo during feeding time for an up-close look at the animals.

Day 5: Explore the City
