Persephone Bakery: A delightful bakery / café with a bright interior and lovely outdoor seating.

Picnic: Chic café from the folks at Persephone. Perfect to bring on a hike.

Snake River Grill: Jackson’s fine-dining steakhouse. 

Trio: An American bistro with local chefs.

Mangy Moose: Rustic tavern perfect for après. 

Old Yellowstone Garage: Cozy up in a booth after leaving the slopes and order a charcuterie board.

Osteria: Lively atmosphere with Italian cuisine. 

Southcable Café: A variety of breakfast and lunch items including grab-and-go burritos, pizza slices and more. 

Teton Thai: Pan Asian menu with a colonial pub feel. No reservations taken, so arrive early. One of our absolute favorites.

The Deck @ Piste: Shared plates served with the best view in Jackson Hole. Gondola access to The Deck @ Piste is free after 5 pm, but you can purchase a ticket for earlier access.

Four Seasons Spa: When you’re ready for some R&R. 

Hiking and Rock Climbing in Grand Teton: It’s worth noting that a limited run of permits go on sale a year in advance and do sell out. For the advance planners who have snagged their permit, this is a worthy climbing objective. 

Iditarod Sled Tour: Full-day sled dog tours that take you directly to the Hot Springs to enjoy an afternoon swim before your return journey.

Jackson Hole & Snake River: Looking for an adrenaline rush and a chance to cool down on a hot summer day? Rafting is your answer.

National Elk Reserve: Epic experience to see Jackson’s elk herd at this wildlife refuge.

Taggart Lake: 3.4-mile round trip hike with an incredible view of the Teton Mountain Range the entire way.

Yellowstone National Park: Known for its wildlife and surreal, geothermal features, Yellowstone National Park offers visitors an enchanting experience in nature. The showstoppers are iconic sites like Old Faithful – but make sure to leave time for the more serendipitous offerings from Mother Nature.

If you can,  plan for the popular stops like Old Faithful and Grand Prismatic Spring earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds. 

The best places to see wildlife are Lamar Valley and Haden Valley, generally around sunrise or sunset. 

For a more intimate experience, get out of your car and opt for a hike. Mystic Falls, Fairy Creek and Little Firehole Loop is a moderate 3.5-mile loop that will take you through stunning scenery. For short and simple options, Fountain Paint Pot trail will take you past several springs, pools and geysers, and Artist Point is an easy (five-minute) walk to a beautiful overlook.
