Traveling to Denver introduces a world of exciting culinary experiences, particularly for plant-based eaters. The Mile High City offers a diverse array of options, from mouthwatering vegan burritos and tacos to fresh produce at farmers' markets. With a thriving vegetarian and vegan restaurant scene, innovative plant-based dishes abound, ranging from hearty salads to gourmet meals. Additionally, indulging in sweet treats is a delight, thanks to the availability of vegan ice cream and desserts at local shops and bakeries.

Places to eat & drink in Denver

City O' City - Are you looking for a restaurant that can cater to food allergies? Perhaps you want to explore the Cap Hill neighborhood? Look no further than City O' City! With a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options, you can order poutine, wings and even "chicken" and waffles, my personal favorite!

Watercourse Foods - City O' City's sister restaurant is 100% plant based. Featuring six separate vegan milkshakes, Watercourse likes to take a spin on classic comfort foods for our plant-based community. The cocktails are also a delight, if you are interested in indulging. As a former resident of South Carolina, my go-to is the Southern plate!

Fire on The Mountain - Okay, okay, hear me out! Seitan changed the game for my wing cravings during sporting events. With eight different vegan sauces, this place is sure to delight meat eaters and herbivores alike!

Sputnik - Late night, done right! If it's past midnight, you might have trouble finding an open restaurant in Denver, but Sputnik is always there for me when I need a vegan corndog. Other specialities include fried pickles, mac and cheese and the beloved breakfast burrito (say that three times fast). Don't forget about this Baker hit at brunch either, they've got bottomless mimosas!

True Food Kitchen - While not specific to Denver, if you're in Cherry Creek and craving some vegan-friendly food, try True Food Kitchen! Known for sourdough pizzas, they also feature plant-based options such as the vegan double cheeseburger and spaghetti squash casserole.

Vital Root - Need something quick? This fast casual dining spot is entirely plant based. My favorites include the yucca fries and Pad Thai. But then again, I do love Pad Thai...

Babe's Tea Room - Craving tea time but The Brown Palace is booked? I get it, I've been there, until Babe's opened! This flowery LoHi tea house features a teatime selection of gluten-free or vegan goodies, including their housemate chickpea salad sandwich. Not to mention their vast selection of tea!

Little Man Ice Cream - With several locations around Denver and vegan options, this ice cream spot is sure to scoop up some fun! I personally favor the vegan salted Oreo but the vegan horchata has been on my list to try.
