Curator’s statement

Vero Beach is truly a hidden gem in Florida and I’ve been lucky enough to visit it many times over the past 14 years. Located just one-and-a-half hours from Orlando or West Palm Beach airports, Vero is worth the drive for the beautiful beaches, sunny weather and plethora of food and activity options. If you’re looking for a gem off the beaten path, Vero Beach definitely fits the bill!

Restaurants

  • Citrus Grillhouse - consistently good seafood and pasta restaurant. Their citrus risotto is a must try and you never know who you’ll see there (I spotted Emma from Selling Sunset dining a few tables over from me!)

  • The Tides - the best for special occasions and a reservation in advance is highly recommended!

  • Ocean Grill - This historic restaurant boasts ocean views and delicious steak and seafood - it’s a must when visiting Vero Beach.

  • Countryside Citrus Beachside & El Sid Taqueria - casual eatery with delicious tacos and fresh Florida orange juice

  • Post & Vine - delicious spot for good wine and authentic Italian pizzas
Riverside Cafe - Country Singer Jake Owen’s favorite restaurant where you can try his usual order, the mahi fish sandwich

Coffee and Breakfast

  • Grind & Grape - coffee or wine - the choice is yours!

  • Maison Martinique - their crepes are a must try! Their patio is delightful to enjoy your meal al fresco.

  • Kilwins Chocolate & Ice Cream - even though it’s a chain, this ice cream shop is a staple in downtown Vero Beach!

  • The Lemon Tree - they serve delicious breakfast classics and a few twists on the usual (like their lobster eggs benedict). They don’t take reservations so make sure to get there early!
