Jackson Hole: Your All-Seasons Escape

Visit the National Elk Refuge: Sleigh rides in the winter are cold but unforgettable. The National Elk Refuge is also fantastic for wildlife watching year round - migratory birds in the spring and summer / pronghorn, bighorn and raptors int he spring and summer /and elk, bald eagles, trumpeter swans, bighorn sheep and coyotes in the winter.

Visit the Grand Tetons: It's almost disrespectful to whittle The Tetons down into this little blurb, but in no particular order - what to do in The Tetons: drive the 42 mile scenic drive, visit Signal Mountain, swim or kayak on Jenny Lake, visit Schwabacher Landing, fish in The Snake River, jet ski on Jackson Lake, relax in Teton Village... there is so much to do. Extend your time in Jackson Hole and spend a few days in The Tetons. You won't regret it.

Visit Jackson Square: Jackson Square is the heart of Jackson. It's iconic antler arch is IG-worthy. I highly recommend enjoy a picnic lunch from Persephone in the square if visiting in warmer months.

Visit Antelope Flats/Mormon Row: Although technically a part of The Grand Tetons, Antelope Flats deserves special recognition for its absolutely spectacular, sweeping views of The Grand Tetons. Hop in the car or on your bike and take the scenic route through the sagebrush covered Antelope Flats, and see that postcard-worthy view of the John Moulton barn. It's quintessential Americana.

Take a hike: Jenny Trail Loop. Taggart Lake Loop. Inspiration Point. Hidden Falls. Delta Lake via Lupine Meadows. Colter Bay Lakeshore Trail. Jackson Hole is the perfect basecamp for amazing hikes.

Old West Days: Every Memorial Day weekend, Jackson Hole celebrates its frontier roots with free music, walking tours, cultural education, stagecoach rides, parades, and just before 6pm, a (fictional) shootout!

Enjoy a winter sport: Skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing, sledding, and dogsledding - you can do it all in Jackson Hole from Thanksgiving - early April.

Jackson Hole Rodeo: Join Jacksons' locals for a night at the rodeo on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from May - June. The bronc riding, barrel racing, and calf roping will easily be highlights of your trip to Jackson Hole.

White Water Rafting on the Snake River: In the summer, the famous Snake River warms up enough for rafting adventures. Not much for rapids? Opt for a scenic float with lunch instead.

Take a dip in Granite Hot Springs: There are lots of thermal hot springs around Jackson, but few are developed for visitors. In the winder, Granite Hot springs is only accessible by dogsled, skiing, or snowmobile, making it an extra-special adventure.

Stroll around Jackson: Central Jackson is uber walkable. Bars, restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, outdoor retailers, and gift shops can easily entertain for a day or two.

Persephone (a James Beard award semi-finalist) - bakery, cafe, coffee, a must in Jackson Hole. I personally enjoy grabbing a picnic-style lunch from Persephone and enjoying it in Jackson Square.

Bin 22: A phenomenal wine and tapas bar that I dream about whenever I’m away - probably because they have the best happy hour in town from 4-6pm daily, with half all beer, wine, and cocktails.

Jackson Drug: This is a fun little diner with milkshakes, malts, burgers, etc. - right on the square. Jackson Drug is a hit for travelers with kids.

The Bunnery: Need a big but casual breakfast before a long day outdoors? Look no further than The Bunnery. Cinnamon rolls are fire.

Jackson Hole Roasters: Good coffee + espresso, roasted in house.

Million Dollar Cowboy Bar: If there was a “Jackson Hole Starter Pack”, Million Dollar Cowboy Bar would be the first thing in it. This is *the* iconic bar in Jackson. Major saloon vibes, right on Jackson Square.

Hatch Taqueria and Tequlias: Margs and Mexican food? Meet you there. Happy hour is from 4:30-5:30pm.

The Handle Bar Restaurant and Pub: A really gorgeous place for a drink in Teton Village, located at the Four Seasons. Sit by the outdoor fire and enjoy a cocktail + the truffle tater tots (trust me).

Glorietta Trattoria: I don’t know how world-class Italian food made its way to rural Wyoming, but it did! Make reservations on Resy. Try the elk bolognese.

Snake River Brewery: A great local brewpub with lots of beer.
