Curator’s statement

Aruba is an absolute must-visit destination! Nestled just 20 miles off the Venezuelan coast, it's a sun-seeker's paradise with endless rays beaming down year-round. Picture-perfect beaches, thanks to the unique crushed coral and shell composition, it keeps the sand cool even when the Caribbean sun is at its peak.

But Aruba isn't just about soaking up the sun. It's a vibrant playground of culture and adventure. Imagine beach tennis tournaments under the blazing sun and culinary escapades with fresh seafood that'll make your taste buds dance.

And let's talk about the adventures! Whether you're a couple seeking romance or a family craving excitement, Aruba's got you covered. ATV tours, water sports galore and hikes in the national park (which covers a whopping 20% of the island!) await.

Don't forget to toast your Aruba adventures with the iconic Aruba Ariba cocktail or a refreshing Balashi beer, because this island truly lives up to its nickname - 'One Happy Island.' So, pack your sunscreen and sense of adventure, because Aruba is waiting to show you the time of your life!

Places to eat & drink in Aruba

Dinner by the beach with a romantic sunset and the ocean in the distance.

While Aruba has plenty of amazing places to eat, some of the absolute gems are tucked away from the touristy spots, so you might need a quick drive to get there. But trust me, it's totally worth it for the incredible food you'll find. If you're planning to have dinner, especially at fancier places, it's a good idea to book ahead. Walk-ins might have a tough time snagging a table at those upscale spots as it does get crowded.

Madame Janette (Seafood/European): Seafood and European dishes in a quaint and romantic setting.

Pinchos Bar & Grill (Seafood): Enjoy casual dining on the pier with beautiful sunset views and delicious seafood options.

Barefoot Restaurant (Seafood): Dine on the beachfront and enjoy a romantic atmosphere with delectable seafood offerings.

Two Fools and a Bull (Fine Dining): Experience a unique dining adventure with an 8-course meal and wine pairings in an intimate setting. Reservations are recommended for this exclusive dining experience.
