My travel style is going places that allow me to see the good, the not-so-luxurious and everything in between. Don't get me wrong — I loooove some luxury, but I really enjoy immersing myself in the local culture and environment. Everywhere I travel, you'll see me doing all of the adventurous activities — zip lining is my go-to! — and excursions that get me outside, exploring nature and the beauty of our surroundings. Butterfly sanctuaries, botanical gardens, glacier parks, whitewater rafting, hiking alongside penguin "highways", kayaking with whales, deep sea fishing, ATVing, etc.. If it's outdoors, if it's thrill-seeking, if it's bringing me closer to nature and the world around me... I'm there! I'm a big foodie as well, so trying all the funky foods and local specialties is my jam, and I think it's especially cool any time I can catch my meal and have it prepared locally. I once hooked a 5lb Black Tuna on a fishing charter and took it right to the shoreside restaurant to have it prepared for our lunch. YUMMM! Supporting local economies/small businesses while getting to explore new places is really the icing on the cake.
