I plan trips that have a high standard of luxury within a more reachable budget by helping clients choose when and where to travel to get the most for their travel budget, avoid crowds and focus on authentic experiences. I prefer new (or newly renovated) boutique hotels that punch above their price point. My itineraries balance: splurgy and cost-effective experiences/hotels, planned and spontaneous time, high-end restaurants and local cheap eats. My personal travel is a mix of city explorations (Rome, London, Edinburgh, Lisbon, Athens, Tokyo and Budapest to name a few), nature getaways (hiking in the English Lake District, Vancouver Island, Bernese Oberland) and wine-focused trips (Tuscany, Napa, Sonoma, Finger Lakes NY — great Rieslings!).
