My Travel Style
I tend to let my curiosity — a yearning for learning + exploring + discovering — dictate my travels. The curiosity could be food-driven (I’m gluten-free and always on the hunt for yummy options!), wellness-related (yoga with an ocean view, anyone?), an itch for adventure (how about a road trip around Iceland?) or a desire to experience something in-person (The Paris 2024 Olympics—checked!).
Sometimes I travel on my own (I’m attuned to the concerns of a solo female traveler) and sometimes I am with others (I understand the needs and challenges that may arise from traveling with family or friends). Sometimes I go for a weekend, sometimes a week or two and sometimes longer. Whatever the scenario (and budget), I approach my travels with an open mind and an itinerary that allows room for the unexpected and serendipitous moments ("the happy accidents" as Anthony Bourdain would call this), and I encourage others to do the same.
