My Story

An LA-based filmmaker, producer and comedian — I can't seem to scratch that travel itch! Having traveled to over 50 countries, taught English in Seoul for 1.5 years, worked at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills for 7 years and lived out a van working for a non-Profit traveling the PNW — nothing beats the indescribable feeling of stepping foot in a new country for the first time.

Travel Style

I have traveled with $200 in my bank account, staying at $5/night hostels all the way to splurging at European 5-star hotels. Whether it's budget traveling or full-blown luxury — I can help you every step of the way! Spontaneity and off-the-beaten-path travel are my specialty. I once showed up to the airport and took the first flight out for the fun of it! I have traveled to countries as remote as Myanmar to as popular as Italy. I focus my travel around food, drinks and mingling with the locals. I've been traveling since I was 18, back when I had to scour internet cafes (this shows my age) just to send an email to my parents to tell them I made it safely to Greece. When you're young — you make mistakes — and I made a lot of them back then! But I have zero regrets because it shaped me into the traveler I am today. I take a macro approach to travel planning with a micro lens on the details and logistics. I have traveled the world and know exactly how to tailor your vacation to be as seamless and foolproof as possible.

Marissa is amazing! We decided to take a trip to Victoria, BC very last minute and despite it being a holiday (we reached out to her on Christmas Eve wanting to go the day after Christmas), Marissa was super responsive and booked exactly what we wanted and more. She was able to get us an upgraded room plus delicious free breakfast and an additional credit we were able to use toward high tea. I've always booked my own travel, but we had such a great experience with Marissa that I plan to use her for all my future travel. She's knowledgeable, dedicated, and reliable. Couldn't recommend her more!

Marissa is amazing!!! She was detail-oriented, informed, highly responsive, incredibly organized and gave us tons of relevant recommendations to help us plan our trip. There was not a single hitch in our 2-week action-packed itinerary, and that says a lot given this is Japan (complicated) and we had lots of things booked across multiple cities. We couldn't have done it without Marissa, who is also just delightful to work with. I highly recommend working with her for any trip.

Marissa was so easy to work with. Usually I do all my travel planning alone, but I just didn't have the time for this trip. I found Marissa and from the first meeting she was amazing, knowledgeable, and extremely quick with finding me a range of hotels to pick from. I plan on using her for all my travel plans!

Marissa made our booking process so easy! She is also extremely knowledgeable and well travelled and gave great advice. She got us access to the hotel we wanted to stay at when it looked unavailable to us. She helped us book a scuba excursion and a massage at the Cape Spa and ensured to tell the hotel it was our anniversary. They set us up with welcome champagne and a thoughtful hand written note. I will absolutely recommend Marissa to anyone!
