My Story
I am a US Navy veteran, an accomplished academic with four graduate degrees and a seasoned professional with 17 years of experience in international education. I have worked as an ESL teacher in Australia and have lived abroad in both Australia and Italy. Passionate about sports, I enjoy American and Australian Rules Football as well as Hockey. My diverse heritage — Puerto Rican, Irish, Cherokee and Black — has shaped my identity, alongside a rich cultural upbringing influenced by Latino, Native American and Jewish traditions. Coming from a Sephardic Jewish background, I embrace my multifaceted heritage in both my personal and professional life.
My Travel Style
I am a seasoned solo female traveler who has explored 48 of the 50 US states and traveled extensively across the Caribbean, Mexico and Canada. I have also ventured into Central and South America, most of Western Europe, some of Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Greenland, Iceland and Israel. I am an avid cruiser, who has sailed on four cruise lines and completed over 20 cruises. I seek off-the-beaten-path experiences but also enjoy some classic tourist activities. Passionate about cultural and historical travel, I am also a dedicated foodie, making every journey a rich and immersive experience.
