My Story
I am a Veteran looking to continue to serve in a more personal capacity. I enjoy national parks, mystical places, and retreats for self discovery and expansion. After an active adventure in inspiring outdoor areas, I do love a hot shower, great food, and a warm bed!
My Travel Style
Having served 23 years in the uniformed services, I have driven across the US five times, and I have lived in both Hawaii and Alaska. One of my cross-country trips was a highly reflective solo journey, as was the ferry ride that I took when relocating to Southeast Alaska. I am highly accustomed to building unique itineraries spanning several days and long distances. I love diverse trips that include such things as excursions into wilderness areas, ballgames in the city, sought-after traveling museum exhibits, and epic fireworks displays. For me, it’s all about getting off the major highways whenever possible, and visiting features that are as special as they are remote. Whether you are traveling solo or as a team/family, I can’t wait to plan your next itinerary!

Short, Uncomplicated Cycling Adventures In & Near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
The Smoky Mountains are as special as they are spectacular, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park provides wonderful exposure to all that they have to offer. While bicycling can provide a fun, immersive way to experience the mountains, some of the main roads within the park are busy and not fully conducive to a safe, relaxing ride. This guide offers a few nice cycling options in and near the north side of the national park, all of which are reasonably close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Townsend, Tennessee. These routes are reasonably short, allowing you to get out, stretch your legs, and experience the natural beauty of the area without having to commit an entire day. After riding, you will have time for other activities, such as visiting shops, enjoying a splash in one of the nearby rivers, or going out to dinner.
