Janelle gave us excellent options to choose from for our stay in Athens. We decided on the Modernist because it most fit our budget, our desire for some walkability, and a quieter neighborhood. We really loved staying here! (We were also pleasantly surprised and happy to be upgraded to a larger room than booked!) Janelle provided wonderful options for activities and helped us consider all factors (my pregnancy, the heat of the day, timing, etc). Some of our favorite activities that Janelle suggested and set up include:

  1. The Food Tour: Amazing!! Great guide, great food, a perfect walk through Athens from the perspective of a local. So much fun and we learned a lot.
  2. The Hotel Bretagne: Dinner on the rooftop was a spectacular way to kick-off our stay in Athens. We couldn't believe the view. Food was amazing, service spectacular. Before dinner, we absolutely loved Alexander's Bar and ended up going back for our final evening in Greece. We also enjoyed checking out the Cigar Lounge, upon Janelle's recommendation. What a hotel with so much history!
  3. After our Acropolis Tour: Janelle provided different options of what we could see/do that were nearby. It was perfect for us: we got to choose from great options based on how we were feeling in the moment. We chose to go up the Areopagus, walk through Plaka, get lunch in Anafiotika, get gelato at L'arte de Gelato, and end at the Little Tree Books & Coffee shop. All Janelle's recommendations and just perfect! She really nailed the "here's some structure and some spontaneity" and we felt that very acutely after the Acropolis tour when we didn't have to wonder what to do-- just look at Janelle's itinerary recommendations! All of Janelle's communications were timely and clear. She is so thoughtful, drawing from our conversations and initial intake forms (asking about our big picture ideas for this trip). She really seeks to provide an unforgettable experience and she absolutely nailed it. Janelle is a treasure!

Janelle provided three great recommendations for our stay in Santorini, but it was her personal experience with the Andronis Concept Wellness Resort that led us to take the splurge on this one! For someone who doesn't enjoy risk-taking, it was a comfort to know this hotel was personally recommended from Janelle!

The Andronis Concept lived up to the hype. We were stunned by the cave-like architecture and the views of the caldera from our private pool! The hotel itself was very quiet and had a very romantic feel. Janelle absolutely was right to recommend this one as worthy of the splurge!

Janelle provided excellent activity and meal recommendations. She helped us confirm our dinner at Roka (very much enjoyed!) in Oia, and helped us pick the best timing for dinner (given the shuttle's schedule and our own hunger after coming in from Milos). She recommended doing the private tour and she made many wonderful suggestions on where to go, but also encouraged us to go with the flow with our driver! It ended up being a spectacular way to see Santorini, and we are so glad for the suggestion to ask our driver: when we wanted to see a little village like Pyrgos, he suggested we go instead to Megalachori instead for easier walking (to better accommodate my pregnancy).

One of the highlights of our stay in Santorini was the Domaine Sigalas Winery food and wine experience. Janelle made the great suggestion to ask our private driver to end our tour there, and then take a taxi home when we were done. We had a wonderful guide at the winery, and they were all very accommodating of my pregnancy (I was there for the food, which didn't disappoint!).

Janelle had told us how cute the town of Imerovigli was and it's close proximity to the hotel. We enjoyed a walk there one night and picked up some gyros on Janelle's suggestion. We took them back to the hotel for a really memorable dinner at our private pool watching the sun go down over the calderas.

Janelle went above and beyond to fulfill our desire for a renewed experience (relationally with each other and personally/spiritually) as we celebrate our 10 year anniversary and prepare to welcome another child. She made the most thoughtful lists including "10 Sweet and Fun Activities to try in Santorini", "Photo Scavenger Hunt" ideas, "10 Conversation Starters for Santorini" and "10 Prayer & Journal Prompts for Santorini"-- she did this for each location!! We especially loved pulling out the conversation starters randomly at mealtimes and our relationship surely deepened. We left feeling renewed in all the ways!

We can't thank Janelle enough for curating an unforgettable stay in Santorini!

Janelle gave us three hotel recommendations to start with, including the Hotel Milos Sea Resort, and we almost didn't pick this one, which is crazy to think because it ended up being our favorite hotel/location of our entire trip (Milos/Santorini/Athens)! We initially were pulled towards more of a local feel, possibly staying in a small fishing village Airbnb, but talking with Janelle through the process was so helpful! She helped us decide on this one based on comfort (we ultimately decided it would be better to be in a hotel for our first leg of the trip, to avoid some decision-making) and also she pointed us towards the reviews which raved about Effie and the family-owned feel of the Hotel Milos Sea Resort. It was the perfect recommendation. We couldn't have been happier here!

Janelle helped us set up with the hotel all the logistical details, including booking a private transfer from the airport, booking a private car for delivery at the hotel, and a private transfer to the ferry when we left for Santorini. This made everything so smooth for us.

Janelle helped us plan a wonderful and perfect itinerary for our stay in Milos! She suggested the first night we get in to get room service and enjoy the sunset view by our private pool (perfection! and delicious!). She suggested for our second day that take a slower morning and then tour the island by private car. Her location suggestions were absolutely fantastic-- we so enjoyed Papagragas Caves, Sarakiniko Beach, and Mandrakia Village (lunch at Medusa was a highlight of our stay in Milos!). That night Janelle had booked dinner for us in Plaka at Okto, and we had the best seats in the house with a sunset view! Her recommendation to go to Okto was a personal rec and we loved it!

The third day, Janelle suggested a Catamaran Cruise-- she helped us decide on a catamaran versus a smaller boat, and I'm so grateful because I get sea sick easily! We had a really fun time on the catamaran. The next morning it was hard to leave Milos. I think our only regret is that we didn't do an extra day here-- it ended up being our favorite location of the whole trip and there was more to explore!

Janelle planned and coordinated for us beyond what we could have dreamed-- she anticipated our needs with finesse and we had the MOST unforgettable time in Milos.
