At the age of 18, my first major travel landed me in Milan, Italy, where I visited the Liguria region for a month. I climbed La Torre Pendente, “The Leaning Tower of Pisa,” where I went up so far that I accidentally got stuck and couldn’t get back down ... Tower-men had to pull me out from the top of the tower, ‘Where no man has gone before.’ LOL … I LOVED IT. I’ve bathed in the Caribbean, and also found breathtaking beauty in Arizona and the western United States—in essence, my own back-yard.
