Fam trips are supplier-sponsored travel experiences for advisors—stays, sailings, tours, and more. An advisor who has stayed at a property can recommend it far more specifically and credibly than one who hasn't.
They're available to Pro and Fora X Advisors who've booked $100,000 or more in commissionable travel within a calendar year.
What Fam trips actually look like
A hotel Fam might include a two-night stay with meals, property tours, and access to different room categories. A cruise Fam might be a short sailing to experience the ship, dining, and onboard programming. Tour operator Fams often include guided itineraries through the destinations they specialize in.
Most Fam trips are heavily subsidized—you may pay for your own flights, but accommodations and activities are typically deeply discounted.
When you have access
Fam trips through Fora are available to Pro and Fora X Advisors—advisors who have booked $100,000 or more in commissionable travel in a calendar year. For the full list of Pro tier benefits and requirements, see Advisor Tiers.
Advanced advisors ($40,000+ in annual bookings) gain access to in-person partner events—not full Fam trips, but supplier-hosted educational experiences.
Fam trips in your first year
Most new advisors don't reach Pro status in year one, so Fam trips aren't an immediate benefit. The advisors who think about Fams correctly use them as a milestone: build a client base, book consistently, and the access follows.
In the meantime, Fora's 800+ training lessons and destination-specific sessions give you the product knowledge to book confidently before you've personally visited every destination. Many advisors may book Paris, Costa Rica, or Tokyo trips for clients well before they've been there themselves.
