Things to do In Mo'orea
ATV Tour of Mo'orea: Albert Transport: Excellent and safe tour of Mo'orea with sweeping views of the island from an insider's vantage point. You drive through the Paopao Valley by and pass through pineapple fields before arriving at “Le Belvédère” lookout point for amazing views of Cook’s Bay and Opunohu Bay. You also stop at a school of agriculture where you discover various tropical plants, flowers and fruits, native to French Polynesia, along with a tasting of jams and fruit juices!
Swim with Humpback Whales: Mo'orea Moana Tours: If you're on Mo'orea during whale season - which lasts from July until mid-November - swimming with and observing the humpback whales that pass through the island is a MUST! This tour is awesome and pays special attention to the safety not only of their guests but of the whales. Please pay special attention to the dates listed on their website because swimming with the whales is only permitted during special periods during the calendar year.
Scuba Diving: Ia Ora Diving: Mo'orea offers some of the world's best diving and exploration of the underwater world. With a plethora of dive sites within reach from the island, scuba divers of all levels will have plenty of opportunities to observe some local marine life. Stingray Corridor is a must-see if you're in the mood to check out stingrays passing through the local waters.
Tiki Village Cultural Center: Tiki Village Cultural Center: If you want to deeply immerse yourself in Polynesian culture, this is the place to do it! Enjoy dinner with local and specially made Tahitian dishes followed by the Polynesian show that is SURE to entertain! This is an activity for all ages, as well.
Golf: Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course: Mo'orea offers a fabulously challenging, yet beautiful, 18-hole (70 par) golf course. It is perfectly placed between sea and mountains and is surrounded by lush nature.
Ziplining: Tiki Parc Zipline and Aerial Adventure: Embark on a thrilling journey through the mountainous landscapes of Mo'orea with an adventurous treetop course. Choose from four courses with varying difficulty levels, featuring walking nets, bridges, swings, rope ladders and zip lines. Start your expedition with an introductory course and then, guided by the staff, select two courses that align with your experience and comfort level – you can navigate them twice if desired! Your exhilarating adventure will whisk you through the treetops in no time.
Relaxation and Spa: Many of the hotels offer spa treatments in gorgeous settings directly. It's wise to check out what your accommodations, or nearby hotels, have to offer. Additionally, there are several local massage spots including Moo Janzu that offer gorgeous settings paired with relaxing and rejuvenating spa treatments.
Transparent Kayaking: Gliding through the water with a fully see-through and transparently clear kayak on Moorea adds a unique and delightful dimension to your experience (Lagoon Explorer). As you paddle through crystal-clear waters, the see-through bottom of the kayak allows you to marvel at the vibrant underwater world beneath you. Places to eat & drink In Mo'orea
Rudy's: Rudy's offers authentic local Tahitian x French cuisine or a unique blend of flavors, contributing to its popularity.
Holy Steak House: If you're in the mood for some serious carnivorous eating, Holy's is definitely the move! Amazing views and surf+turf selections. Pro tip: save room for dessert!
Casa Vincenzo: If you're trying to change it up a little from the more traditional French Polynesian cuisine, check this spot out. The wood-fired pizza is incredible and the staff is super friendly.
Ke'iki: Amazing food and service. The menu is usually a blackboard menu because it changes according to what is available, guaranteeing the freshest selections possible. The presentation is also A+++.
Carameline: Brunch, brunch, brunch!!! Delicious pastries and sandwiches. Local feel with reasonable prices.
Snack Mahana: Awesome, local gem for lunch. The fish burger is out of this world and the staff is delightful. Located right on the beach, as well.
Le Lezard Jaune: Pro tip, try the local poisson cru. That is all. MMM.
